Why Do We Say Duck?
The word duck is a term of greeting we use in Nottingham.
It dates back to Saxon times. The word Ducas, a term of respect, similar to the Middle English word Duc or Duck which means a leader or commander- such as the word duke.
So don't be offended if we call you duck! We are just being nice, and not implying you waddle, have a beak or even go "Quack"!
ABOUT
Midducks Candle Co. began as a hobby enjoyed by me and my daughter and expanded quickly when we began giving samples to friends and family, who suggested the products were too good not to share!
We have a passion to now share the joy that our products bring and are assured in the knowledge that we use sustainable and eco-friendly materials in the process.
